Cam Meekins Teams with Chris Webby for Labor Day Release of First Single, Fast Lane
(Wellesley, MA) Seventeen year old song writer, rapper and producer, Cam Meekins hit the studio last week with fellow rapper, Chris Webby and Boston based producer, Matty Trump to collaborate on Cam’s first single, The Fast Lane, releasing on Labor Day.
Meekins said they all worked together to create the song in about thirty minutes and are very happy with how it all came together: “Webby wrote his verse, I wrote the hook and my verse and Matty created the beat”. Webby and Meekins both met at a show where they performed together and developed a friendship thereafter.
“The song is about how Webby and I are living similar lives that move so quickly, but that is the only way we would choose to have it”, said Meekins on the song’s inspiration. He hopes that other kids his age will be able to relate to the song as they fly through life.
The song will be released for free download on Monday, September 10th on the Cam Meekins Facebook Page (http://facebook.com/cammeekins).
